Komaki Onsen Park

We decided to take a walk around the park at Komaki Onsen. It was as gorgeous as we had heard. It is just past the Misawa Train Station.

This is a foot onsen. I'm sure it would feel amazing after a long walk, but we didn't have time on this day. Which translates as we took a really long walk and our kids were melting down by the end.

One of the things we had heard about was this large koi pond. I had heard the fish were enormous, but I was shocked by how big they actually are. Pictures do not do them justice.

We didn't have any food with us this time. We will have to go back and feed them. They followed us as we walked, hoping we would feed them.

I loved all the carvings on the rocks.

The name of the pond is Kappa Lake. Here is a kappa hedge. 

We found horses and ponies on the other side of the pond.

We had a great time. This might be our new favorite place for a weekend walk.
