Tsuta Nature Trails

We wanted to see some fall colors, so we went hiking with friends along the Tsuta River and near the Tsuta Onsen. It was a beautiful trip and we loved it.

There are beautiful rest stops along the river. We stopped for a few minutes at one of them.

There is a nature trail that follows the Tsuta River with pulloffs and multiple entrances to the trail along the road. You can walk various parts of the trail without having to walk the entire 10k. The trail ends at the Tsuta Onsen. We stopped and walked along a small section of the trail. We would love to work our way up to walking the entire 10k while we are here. It is a beautiful and fun trail.

We walked as far as this little dam, then drove the rest of the way to the Tsuta Onsen, which is actually a famous ryokan in the area. It was originally built in 1909. If it wasn't difficult to do with small children, I would definitely want to stay a night (or weekend) here. It was so beautiful.

The trail we walked is a loop which takes you to several small ponds.

Caleb wasn't the only one worn out at the end of the day. We had so much fun and we loved being able to spend the day with friends.
