Morioka Zoo and Amusement Park

We took an ITT tour to the Morioka Zoo. Morioka is located in Iwate Prefecture, which is south of Aomori, and Misawa. We had a fun time at the zoo and the small amusement park that was within walking distance of the zoo.

Morioka Zoo:

These are Tanuki, or Raccoon Dogs. They look like a raccoon but are in the canine family. They are an animal native to Japan.

The Morioka zoo is beautiful. I loved all the open spaces and the little hiking trails breaking off from the main path. It also happened to be a beautiful day as well as a beautiful time of year.

The zoo also had a really fun petting area. The kids could feed and touch a lot of different animals.

Parkland Amusement Park:

Riding the teacups. Caleb thought it was pretty fun, so long as we didn't actually spin faster than the default. Seth had to take the older kids by themselves so they could go really fast.

Alivia loved this ride. She rode it several times by herself.
