Homeless No More!

By Monday we were pretty eager to move into our house. We were ready for the move to finally be over and to start to feel settled into our new home (even though our possessions won't arrive until much much later).

Mr F was able to check out our home options on the first day that we arrived, but they still needed to do some painting and shampooing before we could move in. Our options were both 4-bedroom houses on the North area of Base. This is the house we chose.

We chose this house specifically because the back yard backs up to this pretty forest area.

The other house had a yard that backed up to a bunch of other yards. We liked the more private, quiet feel of this yard. Anyone who knows me, knows I'm a sucker for pretty forest areas.

The kids were immediate fans of our little yard, especially C. He spends a good portion of his day back there. It is just the right size for him.

Right across the street from our house there is a trampoline that everyone in the neighborhood shares. Behind that is a park. We just got a notice that they are going to start remodeling the park next month. While it is already a pretty cool little park, some of the equipment isn't in great shape. We are excited to see how it turns out. In the mean time, we really enjoy our quiet neighborhood. The kids spend most of the day outside playing with friends or jumping on the trampoline.

  1. That backyard really does look beautiful! And I'm really, really happy for you guys that you got a 4-bedroom unit--we are experiencing a LOT of relief from having all our kids sleep in separate rooms, so I'm really glad that you didn't have to double anyone up. (Seriously, we ALL sleep better with the kids in separate rooms because they don't wake each other up during the light phases of their sleeping patterns and I don't have to be on hyper-alert while I sleep, lest someone starts crying and wakes the others because if I don't frantically rush in and remove the crying one, EVERYBODY wakes up...it's so nice).

And yay for fun parks closeby! Sounds like it makes for deep, deep sleeping children, and that is a Win in my book! ;)

  2. Hehe, I love that Serh's FIRST comment on the house is how little lawn he has to mow. 😂 There's a desert boy for ya! I like the house and all the different storage areas. I'm glad there's at least one bathtub for Kristina too.

    Cute dump-de-dump song, Seth. 😜

Ashley, I'm so happy to hear everyone's happy in your new house!! Yay!!!!
