Nanbu Dragon Tower

After the dahlia garden, we drove into Nanbu town. Nanbu is known for it's many fruit orchards, 'tree house" camping, and the Dragon Tower. We've been wanting to make a trip down to Nanbu, and since we were driving that way anyway, we figured it was the perfect day for it.

We didn't have plans for any fruit picking or camping that day (we are definitely planning to make a camping trip sometime), but we did want to climb the dragon tower. All of these are located near the Cheririn Village Tourist Center.

Even Caleb got to climb. There is a set of stairs going all the way to the top, so it's not necessary to climb through the rope tunnels. Even taking the stairs, he was a little nervous about climbing once we started getting high up.

The older two kids were nervous about climbing in the tunnels at first, but after Seth went with each of them, there was no stopping them. Daddy definitely got his workout that day.

Even I did some climbing:

Climbing definitely made us hungry. We grabbed lunch at the restaurant inside. Seth ordered some delicious grilled eel and let me steal a bite.

After eating we drove over to check out a nearby Buddhist temple and pagoda.
